Margaret began her journey with Huntsville First United Methodist Church in August of 1998. The Music Director/Organist at that time was Ken Turvey. After roughly six months, a part-time position in the Finance Office, under then Financial Administrator, Lucille Turner, came open and she then held two positions in the church offices. After 10 years of finance work, she decided to serve just as the Music Office Assistant, under Dr. David L. Miller, and to teach applied vocal study at UAH. 

Originally from Maryland, south of the District of Columbia, Margaret moved to the South in Early 1978 with her husband of now 39 years, Donald Davis. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She served as a part-time professor of voice at UAH for over 12 years. Local music ensembles include: Huntsville Community Chorus, Huntsville Opera Theater, Theater ‘Round the Corner, Huntsville Master Chorale, St. Thomas Episcopal Chuch choir, Schola Cantorum, In Nocte Carmina, NAVE (North American Vocal Ensemble) and AVÉ (Alabama Vocal Ensemble).
