Discovery Weekend 
February 23-25 | $100 ($75 if registered before January 19)
Discovery Weekend is a 44-hour camp-like retreat held at our church for students in grades 7-12. High school students are trained to be leaders alongside adults. Discovery is a weekend that gives students a place to experience God's love. This year our theme is "This Is Living”. Students will discover God's love for us through The Church. Discovery Weekend includes wacky games, hilarious skits, D-Groups, worship featuring Calling Glory, powerful prayer, rockin' music, yummy food and a BIG party! Don't miss out on Discovery! 
Registration will remain open until the week of Discovery, but after February 7th you are not guaranteed the "Discovery Swag" (T-shirts, goodie bags etc).

This revolutionary class taught by Dave Ramsey and The Legacy Journey teaching team on video and coordinated by Sherry McKinney at Huntsville First United Methodist Church will show you how to live a legacy now while preparing to leave a legacy for your children and future generations to come.

The Amanda Taylor Watson Graduate Award is presented to candidates who have been accepted to graduate school, have achieved academic success and have shown commitment to community. Applications are available and will be accepted until March 31, 2018

The three First United Methodist Church Scholarships, bestowed in the names of Ruth Ford, Bob Forgey, Jr., and Elizabeth and Clara McAllister McCaleb, are given with love and commitment to the youth of FUMC and United Methodist Churches of the Huntsville District. Persons who have been members of any United Methodist Church in the Huntsville District for at least one year before the date of selection who are high school seniors or current college students may apply for the Elizabeth and Clara McAllister McCaleb Scholarship.  All high school seniors and college students who have been members of FUMC for a period of at least one year  before the scholarship selection date are invited to apply for the Ruth Ford and Bob Forgey, Jr. Scholarship.
