First United Methodist Church offers choirs for all children and youth age 4 thru grade 12. Through music they learn Scriptures and great Christian truths. They will give of their time through helping to lead the Congregation in worship and praise to God as well as using their talents in outreach programs such as performing in other churches, the Mental Health Center, and Todd Towers. Participation in choir is a gift which can be shared as long as we live. Choir is an experience for life! Children's Choirs

Melody Singers (age 4 by Sept. 1 - kindergarten) - The Melody Singers meet in Room 220 from 4:30 - 5:30 PM each Wednesday.     

Emphasis is on a happy mix of singing, movement, activities, playing rhythm instruments, learning some basic musical concepts, and good choir conduct.

Carol Choir (grades 1-2) - The Carol Choir meets in Room 214 from 4:30 - 5:30 PM each Wednesday.

Emphasis on basic musical concepts and awareness of good vocal tone. Music stresses Christian concepts and the Christian year. 

Voices of Joy (grades 3 -5) - The Voices of Joy meet each Wednesday from 4:30 - 5:30 PM in Room 204.

Emphasis is on the Hymnal, the Christian Year, participating in worship, and learning good musicianship.
