Fall GIFT Study - "Esther:"
It's Tough Being a Woman - Provides a personal study experience for this in-depth women's Bible study of Esther - a profile in courage. Beth Moore presents a very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance as she peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives today. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the Bible study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. This portion of God's Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives. Come join our Monday Bible Study Small Group begining September 13th at 1:30pm. BBB is the class for those inquiring about First UMC and the United Methodist Church. Meet the ministers and lay leaders who will introduce you to United Methodist beliefs. Meets Sundays, Aug. 22nd & 29th, Main Building Conference Room. 5pm - 7:30 PM. Childcare available up to 5th grade.
ALPHA...
At an Alpha course you will explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten weekly thought-provoking sessions, with a weekend away. Typically every session has a film presentation, a meal and a small group discussion. Dare to ask the questions that are on your mind. Alpha is for people investigating Christianity, newcomers to the church, new Christians, couples preparing for marriage, and Christians who want to brush up on the basics.
